Big Bird by Nancy Blum
The model today at the Atlanta Artists Center was Diane. I'll post my drawing and any others in the next few days.
Here's my oil painting of Big Bird (with Dean).

Here are the initial paintings of Dean with Big Bird, a macaw. The two are evidently quite devoted to each other, and made for an interesting pose. I'll post my oil painting with any others in a few days.

Nancy Blum oil
One more India inspired artwork, before moving on to Dean and his bird...

Thursday, February 19, 2009

Today Dean modeled with his beautiful macaw. The bird posed very well for the 3 hours, and many fun pictures were made. I'll post them in a few days.

Two more pictures of India from last week's pose:

It's interesting to see the different vantage points and styles from the group. Two are with watercolor, and two are charcoal. Several others used pastel and oil.

Click on the entire image of the 4 pictures for an enlarged version. They are, from left to right by
Susan Proctor, Elisha Fields, Jessica Cook, and Nancy Blum

Here are some drawings and paintings of India from the Thursday Group
